"I get lost in the process. Working in abstract expressionism allows intention to be left behind while intuition takes over. I love being lost in that flow, stepping back, examining how the painting is making me feel.

 

I work in acrylics, soft pastels, and willow charcoal, building layers and adding dimension where it belongs. Texture compounds and sometimes decoupaged elements find their way in, and sgraffito reveals what's hiding beneath the surface.

 

I create to evoke emotion. Whether that soothes or provokes depends entirely on the viewer. Mixed elements living together to invite contemplation.

 

I make space for the viewer to find their own meaning; a shape that becomes a memory, a color that becomes a feeling, whatever their imagination recognizes as true. To me, painting is liberation. It is freedom. And ultimately, it is an offering."
